Privacy

Last updated September 27, 2026

This policy covers besaforge.com and the apps BesaForge publishes on the App Store. If an app handles data differently from what's described here, it gets its own section on this page.

The short version

  • We don't sell your data.
  • We don't show ads, and we don't use your data for advertising.
  • What you create in our apps stays on your device, or in your own iCloud account, whenever possible.

Data that stays with you

Things you create in our apps, such as saved items, settings, and progress, are stored on your device. If you use iCloud, they may also sync through your private iCloud account. We can't see or access that data.

Purchases

Purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple. We never receive your payment details. We may receive transaction records from Apple that are needed to unlock the features you paid for.

Crash reports and diagnostics

If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone's settings, Apple may give us crash reports and aggregated usage statistics. These help us fix bugs and aren't used to identify you. You can turn this off at any time in Settings, under Privacy & Security, then Analytics & Improvements.

Shtepi

Shtepi has no account and no BesaForge server, and it contains no analytics or third-party SDKs. Its App Store privacy label is "Data Not Collected."

  • Everything Shtepi knows stays on your iPhone: whether you're a mom, dad or parent and your first name if you add it; what you tell it about your kids (son or daughter, age range, and optional first names, birthdays and favorite things); what you tell it about your partner (an optional name, their weekdays and long days, your anniversary); your Home mode history and any answers you gave about it; your nudges and check-in times; the ideas and tips it showed you recently; and small previews of the photos and videos you took with it. It's included in your iPhone's own backups (iCloud or your computer), like other app data, and nowhere else.
  • If you connect your calendar, Shtepi reads the events on your iPhone (including Google or Outlook calendars you've added to it) to find open time and to keep nudges out of your meetings. It only adds an event when you tap Plan it and confirm. Your calendar never leaves your iPhone.
  • If you turn on weather for plans, Shtepi uses your location to ask Apple Weather for a forecast. We never receive your location; Apple's privacy policy covers Apple Weather.
  • Finds for your kids' favorite things open a web search in your browser, like "dinosaur events for kids near me this weekend". The search engine sees that search, but never your kids' names.
  • When you offer to take something over for your partner, Shtepi hands the message to Messages or another app you choose. Shtepi doesn't send anything itself.
  • Photos and videos you take with Shtepi are saved to your own Photos library using add-only access. Shtepi can't see the rest of your library.
  • Shtepi uses the camera only to take photos and videos when you choose to, and the microphone only while you're recording a video.
  • Its notifications, including your nudges, are scheduled on your iPhone. They aren't pushed from a server.
  • Purchases, including Shtepi Plus, are handled by Apple. We never see your payment details.
  • If you turn on app shields in Home mode, Shtepi uses Apple's Screen Time framework. Apple gives the app opaque tokens, not the names of the apps or websites you chose, and nothing leaves your iPhone.
  • To remove Shtepi's data, tap Delete everything in the app's settings, or delete the app. Photos and videos already in your Photos library stay there.
  • If a future version lets you share Home mode with your partner's phone, it will use your family's iCloud, and we'll update this page before that ships.

When you contact us

When you send a message through our contact form, we receive your name, email address, the topic you chose, your message, and the country your request came from. We use them only to reply and follow up. We keep your messages in our email inbox and don't add you to mailing lists.

To block spam, the contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks technical signals from your browser to tell people from bots. Cloudflare handles this data under its own privacy policy and doesn't use it for advertising.

This website

besaforge.com uses no advertising, no analytics, and no tracking cookies. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) and font provider (Bunny Fonts) process basic technical information, such as IP addresses, in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

Children

Our apps aren't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Your choices

  • Delete an app to remove the data it stored on your device.
  • Manage or delete iCloud data in your iPhone's Settings, under your name, then iCloud.
  • Contact us to ask for a copy of our correspondence with you, or to have it deleted.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be noted in the affected app's release notes.
